"My connection to the coastal region of Karnataka is very strong," says Golden Star Ganesh as he looks back on his journey in the Kannada film industry. He recalls how the director (M D Sridhar), producer (Jagadish Kotyan), and music director (Gurukiran) of his first film, Chellata, all hailed from Mangaluru. Since then, fate has repeatedly led him back to the Karavali region. Destiny played a role in his marriage to his wife Shilpa, who is also from the area. Over time, his affinity for Tulu culture and the land of Parashurama Srishti has deepened. Three years ago, during an event in Mangaluru, he expressed his desire to create a Tulu film someday. Now, that dream is coming true as Shilpa and he prepare to collaborate on their Tulu film," Ganesh reveals.

Ganesh also talks about the cultural impact his mother-in-law has had on him. She often shares Tulu plays, Yakshagana performances, and clips from Tulu films with him. He admires the talent in the Tulu industry, especially their impeccable comic timing. Ganesh feels privileged to have worked with outstanding actors like Aravind Bolar and Arjun Kapikad and witnessed their brilliance firsthand. He expresses his excitement about collaborating with Sandeep Bedra as the director, Nityaprakash Bantwal as the lead actor, Mohan Bhatkal as the scriptwriter, and Santosh Rai Pathaje as the cinematographer — all of whom have left a mark in the film industry. Ganesh reveals that he will make a cameo appearance in the Tulu film, marking his debut in Tulu cinema. "I speak Tulu fluently and understand it well, so you can expect me to deliver a few lines," he says with a laugh.

"Our Tulu film will highlight Karavali, similar to how Mungaru Male showcased Coorg," shares Shilpa Ganesh. For her, the film is a personal tribute to her roots. "Growing up in Dubai, I would return home for holidays, and my aunts would take my mom and me to watch Tulu dramas at the Town Hall."The city of Mangaluru is known for its abundant cultural and artistic treasures that have largely been unexplored. Through this film, we aim to showcase Mangaluru similar to how Mungaru Male did for Coorg, highlighting its tourism, art, culture, and the linguistic excellence of Karavali," Shilpa expresses.
